Making changes....

Hi to you all,
I had a great day at the Tim Holtz workshop and will be putting photos on here very soon

Today I need to pass on a little information that is mainly for the lovely ladies who have been attending my classes and workshops at Pink Tulip Creations.
I will now be doing more independant classes and workshops which will be held at different venues. I would like to thank you all for your wonderful support and I have greatly valued you attending my classes and I would still like to be able to tutor you in the future.
This is a big new adventure for me and I am busy beavering away designing for new workshops. I have a Christmas craft event to be held soon and if anybody is interested just let me know and I can add you to the list.

Ps this is not the news you have been waiting for, still tight lipped on that one for now.

Counting the Hours......

Eleven hours and counting down till I am in the presence of he who is "lord of all things crafty" the one and only TIM HOLTZ.
Oh joy of joys!! I can't wait!! A big thank you goes to Sheila at Pink Tulip Creations and Personal Impressions for my place.
I will endeavour to put some photos of the event on here for you all to join in and share with me.
Must go to bed now, need my sleep (not much chance of that) so I will be bright eyed and bushy tailed tomorrow.
EXCITED............

Creative.....

With Canvas.
Happy Sunday everyone. The last bank holiday of the year is upon us and summer is nearly over so it may be time to come in from the garden and get back in those craftrooms again.

I've been playing with a few different mediums on the project and hope my (near useless) photography can pick up all the details.

A combination of grunge paste, black gesso, treasure gold, muslin, stencils, die cuts, liquid pearls,a doily, pan pastels and stamps all working together on this canvas.
I had no pre conceived idea of what I was designing when I started on this one, I just knew I wanted texture, a photo and to finish with Treasure Gold.
It just sort of grew from there really. This canvas is something I'm hoping to do as a class, so if you think you may be interested just contact me and we'll take it from there.

Home...

Sweet Home.
It's that lovely Time Flies Collection again, but I hope you'll forgive me because it's just soooo lovely.
I'm now going to own up and tell you that the idea for this project came from none other than she who lurks in the cubbyhole, known to the world as Kath. I hasten to add that my project looks nothing like hers but I did lift the idea so credit goes to Kath too.

It's been well received by those who have seen it so I hope you all do too. It's white to start with but you you me, I just have to alter everything.

I could just go on and on making projects with this pack, Craftwork Cards have designed an absolutely
stunning collection of papers and embellishments. I can't wait to see what they bring out next.

By the way, so sorry to keep you waiting for my exciting news but I will have to hold out a little longer.....

How I love them all, but they can wear me out, the little angels. Anyway, I'll put you something on here tomorrow. Something made using the time flies collection again but NOT a card this time.
See you tomorrow......

Jofy 13....

I was a happy girl when the delivery arrived at Pink Tulip from PaperArtsy because it contained the new stamps from Jo Firth-Young and yhe set  that fell into my shopping bag was non other than Jofy13

I had my Tuesday night class all planned out but put those cards on hold so that I could use my new set straight away.

I think my class liked the cards, hope you do too.

They are such fun to play with and these all come from the same set.

Absence....

Makes the heart grow fonder, so they say. So have you missed me 😄 ???
It's been one of those weeks when you just want to close the door and hibernate but that's not to be. It's not all doom and gloom though I do have some exciting news (but you will have to wait just a little bit longer for this gossip) ooh got you wondering now!!
Anyway, as you already know I am on the Crafty Ribbons Design Team and the theme this week is to use three of something so I have made three steampunk roses with black leaves and black braid ribbons from Crafty Ribbons. Why don't you pop over there and take a look at my roses and the other DT members projects. There is also a sale on at the moment at Crafty Ribbons so you may bag yourself a bargain!!
I have used the Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells papers for my roses, I just love these strong colourful papers. Hope you like them

Ready, Set, Stamp....

In the Craft Stamper Magazine.
I am lucky enough to have another little entry in this month's (September) issue. I was given the remit of "Happy Days" and the fabulous colour ways of pink/orange/egg yolk yellow. The card needed to be able to be made in approx 30 minutes and I was allowed to use patterned paper along with (of course) stamping. I chose some papers from the Kaisercraft  Tigerlilly range and used one of the  Prima Doll stamps.
I hope you get a chance to have a look at the mag (best on the market) and let me know what you think of it

Time Flies 2...

Hope I'm not boring you but I've done another card with the Craftwork Cards Time Flies collection.

Hope you like this one too.
The only item I've added that isn't in the pack is some black gems and glossy accents. I'm really pleased with it and will probably do a whole collection from the pack, so you never know there could be more to show you.

Time Flies Collection...

Ooooh how lovely is this collection from Craftwork
Cards

It is sooooo lovely to work with and you get heaps of embellishements in the pack, so many it's hard to know which to use first. The paper bows, butterflies, flowers, borders and tags are all die cut and the papers are a dream to work with. This collection has to be one of the most favourite I have ever bought. On this card, which is an 8" x 8" I have made a torn pocket and added a tag. I have also used my new toy, a flower mould, along with the new paper clay that's now on the market. This clay is like nothing I've ever used before, it's as light as a feather. /the mould i've used here is by Mod Podge but I also have a fab set from Stampin Up, A little inking. a few pearls, a little bit of glossy accents and your done.
I will be posting a few more cards from this pack as I can't put it down.
